It is hard to believe that it is November already! The days are really becoming shorter and colder however this also means the new 2027 sashiko panels are here!!

The new Wagara "Cat Tower" sampler arrived this past Saturday and is now available for purchase! This adorable panel features cats playing on a cat tower. Mice are also playing (or escaping?) alongside the cats and can be seen dangling off strings and running throughout the cat tower.

The panel comes in the usual Black and Deep Navy hues but QH textiles has also made two new colors available with this design; Brick Orange and Ivy Green.

This is a larger sized panel however it is more simple to stitch due to not having many highly concentrated areas of stitching. This makes the panel less overwhelming than other QH panels and it is perfect for those who are looking to stitch a larger panel on a more substantial fabric than the Olympus hana-fukin samplers.  The wagara fabric makes this panel perfect for a quilt or as a wall hanging. 

Any sashiko thread (thin or thick) will work well for this panel due to the more open stitching pattern.   

I am still in the process of photographing the second, new QH panel but I hope to have it available for purchase in a day or two.
