This is from the "short pitch" variegated sashiko thread collection These thread have a quicker transition between colors with the shade variations occurring every .75 to 1.5 inches (2-4 cm). This makes these threads ideal for projects that are smaller or where you want a larger amount color.

This thread is 100% cotton and made in Japan especially for sashiko.

Please refer to the last photo for the best representation of the color. Crayola brand crayons were placed in the photo for color comparison. This thread graduates from a magenta, dusky purple and pink-red hue. I also think that there is a hint of orange-pink color.
