This beautiful book shows how to create tsumami kanzashi as well as tsumami (folded fabric) accessories, such as pins, brooches and decorative accents.

The book is written entirely in Japanese but the step-by-step instructions are accompanied by beautiful photographs that clearly show how each item is created. The two main folding techniques (pointed and rounded petal) are also shown in a step-by-step fashion with photographs. The book also shows how to create the bases for the flowers.

Photos 3 and 4 show all the designs that are in this book. The finished size of the design can be changed by using different sized fabric squares. Once you have gained experience with the folding techniques you can easily create items out of various fabric types or combine petal and/or designs to create a unique design of your own.
