This listing is for one package of 30 - precut squares in a 22mm size. Please select the color and number of items you would like to purchase using the pull down menu.
This rayon chirimen is specifically made for creating tsumami kanzashi. It has a beautiful crepe texture which makes a nice sturdy petal without the use of starch.
Each square is 22 mm x 22 mm in size. These are tiny squares so if you are new to tsumami then I suggest practicing your folding technique using larger fabric squares. I also suggest purchasing high - quality pliers as this will make it easier (and a whole lot less frustrating) to fold your petals.
I prefer to use the Tsumami Kanzashi glue (instead of nori paste) for these squares. This glue binds the petals together quickly so they don't "pop" apart. Only a small amount of glue is needed so it can be used sparingly.
Please refer to the photos with the crayons for the best representation of the color. Crayola brand crayons were placed in each photo for color comparison.
Photo 5: Color #23 Scarlet (Red-Orange)
Photo 6: Color #38 Vermilion Red

Photo 8: Color #5 Carmine (Red-Violet)
Photo 9: Color #6 Brick Red (Red-Brown)
The last photo shows two flowers that I created using these chirimen squares. These flowers are not for sale but are just shown as an example of what can be created. Please note that the flower on the left was created using two sizes of chirimen squares. The larger, 22mm squares were used for the darker pink (outside) part of the petal and the smaller, 20mm squares were used for the lighter pink (inside) part of the petal.
