Sashiko - 20 projects using traditional Japanese stitching book by Jill Clay

$24.95

This listing is for one book: "Sashiko - 20 projects using traditional Japanese stitching" by Jill Clay. This is a paperback book.
ISBN: 978-1-78494-487-2

This is a wonderful book that contains some large and small projects that are suitable for beginner and more experienced sashiko artists. Some sewing experience is required to complete the projects however most projects need little to no sewing experience. Construction diagrams are provided showing how to sew and complete projects. Sashiko and sewing patterns need to be able to be copied and enlarged to use with the provided projects.

There is a pattern library that shows some traditional patterns however the book doesn't show how to draw these patterns or in which order to stitch the lines. The book also contains 3 pages of graph paper to allow you to draw your own design.

Although this may be missing a few things that I would prefer to see in a sashiko book, like how to draw a sashiko pattern, it is still a wonderful with many useful and beautiful projects. It would make a wonderful gift.
