This listing is for one panel of "Hikeshi-Hanten" (Fireman's coat of the EDO era in Japan). There are 20 hanten on each panel. This panel is perfect for sashiko or quilting.
This cotton fabric is printed with deep navy-indigo, goldenrod, off-white and salmon colored coats. The navy-indigo background is covered with off-white speckles. The panel measures about 29.75 x 44 inches (75.6 cm x 111.8cm) and has 20 different fire coats printed on it. These panels are perfect for cutting apart to create little zipper pouches or cushion covers. The panel can be kept in one piece for use in a quilt or wall hanging.
This fabric was created in Japan and is 100% cotton. It has a medium weight and slightly open weave. The weave makes it perfect for embellishing with sashiko.
The last two photos show the colors most accurately. Crayola brand crayons are shown in the photos for a color comparison.
