Clover Japan sashiko hand stitching needles - 3 needles - long size

This listing is for one pack of Clover brand, long sashiko needles. Each pack contains 1 - 2.75 inch needle, 1 - 2.4 inch needle and 1 - 2.25 inch needle.

Sashiko needles are strong, sharp and have a larger eye that allows for thicker, sashiko thread. This pack of Clover brand needles contains 3 different sized, long needles allowing you to choose the needle that is most suitable for the fabric thickness and stitch. These needles are perfect for sashiko, boro or any embroidery that uses thicker thread.

Like the Olympus brand needles, these Clover needles are thicker than other sashiko needles of this length, making them perfect for beginners or those that have trouble holding thin needles due to arthritis or neuropathy. However, these needles may not be suitable for quilting or projects with multiple layers of fabric. This is due to the thickness of the needle and the larger eye making it a harder to pull through multiple layers of fabric. I still recommend the Tulip brand needles for projects using denim or tightly woven fabric. These Clover brand needles are perfect for fabrics that have a looser weave, such as cotton, kasuri ikat and the cotton, "faux" shibori, canvas or noren, quilting panels that are offered in my shop. They are also perfect for the Olympus brand sashiko samplers that I offer.

Each pack of needles contains:
1 needle - 2.75 inch (69.8mm) length x 1.14mm thick
1 needle - 2.4 inch (60.3mm) length x 1.14mm thick
1 needle - 2.25 inch (57.2mm) length x 1.07mm thick

These long needles are perfect for creating straight, long patterns.

These needles are made in Japan.
