This listing is for one, 20 meter skein of sashiko thread in a Variegated blue color #98.
This is from the "short pitch" variegated sashiko thread collection These thread have a quicker transition between colors with the shade variations occurring every .75 to 1.5 inches (2-4 cm). This makes these threads ideal for projects that are smaller or where you want a larger amount color. This thread is the "midnight" color.
This thread is 100% cotton and made in Japan especially for sashiko.
Please refer to the 7th photo for the best representation of the color. Crayola brand crayons were placed in the photo for color comparison. This thread graduates from a blue, lighter blue and blue-gray hue. I also think that there is a hint of blue-green color.
The last 2 photos show this thread sewn over the blue-green colored, yarn dyed sakizomomen fabric from the Olympus Japan pre-printed sashiko patch mending fabric collection. The patch fabric can be seen here:

I was thrilled to received my whole package of SASHIKO supplies and cannot wait to get started on my Japanese embroidery journey. I picked the fabric patches, the yarn, the needles and leather thimble. I wish I had taken a picture of how they were wrapped so beautifully and enticingly but I was too excited to open it. All I could say was that it was delicious and wrapped in a way that was very Japanese if one knows anything about their way of wrapping gifts. It would make a great gift for someone who would like to try this embroidery style. I am so glad to have found this store. I lived in Japan and love anything Japanese. Thank you for your attention in wrapping it and getting it to me so quickly. I am very excited. The design and dye of the fabrics is incredible.
