Lecien Cosmo sashiko pre-printed wash-away panel - kasuri "cross" pattern

$11.41

This listing is for one pre-printed sashiko cloth in a "gray", "khaki" or "rose" color. The pattern washes out of the cloth with water. Please choose the color you wish to purchase using the pull down menu.

These Lecien Cosmo brand sashiko samplers are part of Lecien Cosmo's new "hidamari" sashiko product line. These cloths were made in Japan and feature a kasuri cross pattern. The pattern washes out of the cloth with water. This is a perfect project for beginner sashiko artists. I find that these samplers are also wonderful for traveling with as they are small and do not require you to pack a large amount of supplies. The marks are also easily seen (for less than perfect lighting) and will not rub off when the cloth is folded away. The design can be embroidered with one 20 meter skein of sashiko thread.

This sampler cloth can be used to create a kitchen towel, quilt block, placemat or 12.5 inch (32 cm) pillow case.

The entire cloth measures about 27 3/4 inches x 14 inches (70.5 cm x 36 cm). The printed portion of the cloth measures 12.5 inch x 12.5 inch (31.75 cm x 31.75 cm) in size.

The 50 % cotton and 50 % linen fabric is lightweight with a slightly open weave. It has a smoother texture and is more crisp than the Olympus brand sashiko pattern samplers.

This pattern is available in 3 colors. Please refer to the photos with the crayons for the most accurate representation of the color.

Photo 3: "gray" color. Lecien calls this color "gray" but it is more of a beige with gray undertones
Item # 98906-90

Photo 5: "khaki" color. Lecien calls this color "khaki" but it is more of a green-brown color
Item # 98906-61

Photo 7: rose color. This is a medium to bright pink color
Item # 98906-22

This sampler comes with an instruction sheet HOWEVER this sheet is printed in Japanese.

Do NOT iron the fabric prior to removing the pre-printed pattern or the pattern may not wash out completely.

To remove markings:

*Do not iron or get the cloth wet until the stitching is completed.
*Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
*Iron while still moist on low temperature. Place sashiko cloth face down onto folded bath towel, prior to ironing, to prevent the stitching from being flattened.
*Do not allow fabric to lie on other fabrics while it is wet as the color may bleed

I bought more, these are fun and good for beginers.

My whole order arrived yesterday and I'm very happy with it, especially since these will be used for projects over winter break. Will definitely order from this seller again.

Had to order more sashiko kit. Love their design.
