Boy's new, cotton yukata - Deep indigo blue with sayagata pattern size 100 (3-4 yrs old)

This listing is for a new, boy's, cotton yukata. These adorable yukata are sold for wearing to festivals.

The yukata features a printed light blue sayagata pattern over a deep indigo blue colored background. The indigo blue background is so dark it appears nearly black. The "sayagata" or "key fret" pattern is an auspicious pattern that is associated with "strength" and "eternity". This yukata would make a wonderful robe, beach cover or festival attire for any boy.

The exterior of this yukata was created out of a textured, cotton fabric. The fabric has a wonderful, woven, bumpy texture. The cotton is medium weight with a crisp drape that should become more fluid after laundering. The cotton also has a lovely sheen.

This yukata is not lined and should be worn with an undergarment (nagajuban) or clothing.

Children's yukata have ties (himo) that can be used to tie the yukata closed. The left side of the yukata is placed over the right side and the right tie is passed through the gap in the underarm and around the yukata and is then tied. Usually an obi would be placed over this but it is not necessary when using the yukata as a robe.

Please read the dimensions to determine if the size is appropriate for your child.

***Size 100 (about 3-4 yrs old)***

-Length: 80cm (31.5 inches)
There is a 8 cm (3.1 inch) tuck at the waste that can be removed to allow the yukata to be lengthened as your child grows. This will allow the yukata to be lengthened to about 96 cm (37.8 inches) in length.

-Sleeve length(how far the sleeves fall): 25 cm (9.8 inches)

-Total width of yukata with sleeves: 80 cm ( 31.5 inches)

Have your child stand with his arms spread out and measure from one wrist, across his shoulders and to his other wrist. This will help determine where the sleeve will fall on his wrist. This shoulders of this yukata can be widened by removing the 2 tucks on the shoulders. This will allow the width of the yukata to be increased about 8 cm (3.1 inches) to create a total width of 88cm (34.6 inches)
