This listing is for one Cohana brand Awaji Kawara magnetic needle minder rest glazed in a lilac purple color. This is a flower shaped, limited edition needle rest made for spring 2026 and can not be reordered. Please note that the tone of the purple color may vary from item to item due to natural variations in the clay and glaze as well as firing differences.

This small needle minder/rest is crafted by Irakato and is made from high-quality clay found on Awaji Island and kiln fired. This clay is traditionally used for Awaji roof tiles. They are finished with a lustrous, glaze like that of ceramic roof tiles. The needle rests contain a magnet that holds the needles in place and also allow you to easily pick up needles or pins that are on the table for floor. **please note that this listing is for the needle rest ONLY and does not include pins or needles that are shown in some photos**

"Irakato, located in Tsui, South Awaji City of Awaji Island, was established in 1950 and has inherited the Kawara (Japanese traditional roof tiles) manufacturing method from his grandfather's generation. *Synthetic leather on the bottom may fade or stain when wet with water or sweat.
*Dropping or strong impact may cause damage.
*Keep out of reach of infants.
