These mini scissors are made in Seki, which is Japan’s foremost cutlery-making town. They are made with the same time-tested, reliable craftsmanship as the best fabric shears. They are perfect for traveling or for stashing in sewing and embroidery kits. They do not appear very sharp however they cut thread and yarn easily and quickly.

Each mini scissor features a lovely silk tassel which was handmade by Marimo, a specialist in tassels and knots. These 9th anniversary snips have either a yellow, pink or blue tassel with golden and white threads.
Each scissor comes with a high-quality, leather cover/carrying case that is embroidered with a golden Asanoha, hemp leaf pattern in golden hued thread. The asanoha pattern is considered a symbol of good fortune. The carrying case also has a strong, stainless steel, wire loop that can be used to attach the case to your sewing bag or purse to allow easy access and to prevent them from getting lost. The leather carrying case closes via a metal snap.
The case was made by Waenshu. Waenshu was established in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture in 2014.

Handling instructions on packaging (In Japanese language):
If the scissors get wet, wipe off the moisture thoroughly to prevent rust. Forcing them to cut hard objects can cause the blades to misalign and damage the blades. The case is made of genuine leather and may stretch slightly. Water or sweat may cause discoloration or stains. Leather is a natural material, so color variations may occur. Please enjoy the texture. The tassel may fade or discolor due to friction, moisture or UV rays. Embroidery thread is sensitive to friction, so please be careful not to rub it as it may fray. If the thread frays, cut it at the base without pulling it. Dropping of impacting the scissors may cause damage. Store them in the case after use. Keep out of reach of children.
