This listing is for one 260 gram (9.17 ounce) tub of Yamato Tsumami Zaiku rice paste glue.
This paste was specially created for creating tsumami zaiku and allows you to create tsumami zaiku using traditional methods. The creation of the glue was supervised by TSUYUTSUKI, Ms. Yukiko Tsuchida, tsumami zaiku artist and author of many books on tsumami zaiku. The glue is smooth, thick and easy to knead. The viscosity of the paste allows for the fabric petals to maintain their shape.
This is a great glue for beginners and advanced tsumami zaiku artists who are wanting to create kanzashi using traditional methods. It is easy to work with and the slower drying time allows for the artist to create larger flowers and reposition petals to make the flowers more symmetrical.
The glue arrives in a re-sealable tub that makes it easy to remove and store the glue.
This glue was directly imported from the manufacturer in Japan and I am proud to be the only distributer of this glue within the United States at this time.
Rice paste is created out of tapioca starch and is non-toxic.
The last three photos show photos of kanzashi that I created using this glue. These kanzashi are not included for sale in the listing.
This glue does not need to be thinned prior to using.
The back label of the glue is written in Japanese language.
Roughly translated it says:
-Take of protection film before using
-Gently removed excess glue from around petals with tweezers
-Do not put back the used glue into the container (use a separate container) as it affects the quality of the unused glue
-Close lid tightly after use
-Use only for adhesion intended purposes
Ingredients: Starch (Tapioca)
It is recommended that the glue is used up in about 6 months from opening.
Please store the glue at room temperature and humidy.
This glue is made in Japan.
