This sashiko panel features 5 panels with floral designs over a deep, navy indigo colored, 100% cotton fabric. The pattern washes out of the cloth with water. This is a perfect project for anyone learning sashiko or for those who would like to create a sashiko project without having to mark a pattern on the fabric.
The entire panel can be seen in the first photo. The entire panel measures about 45.5 inches tall x 23.75 inches wide (115.6 cm x 60.3 cm ). The long panel that features the bird and grape leaf pattern is 42 1/4 tall x 9 3/8 wide (107.3 cm x 23.8 cm). The smaller panels measure about 9.5 x 9.5 inches (24.1 cm x 24.1 cm). Each of the panels have at least a 3/4 inch seam allowance so that they can be cut apart and used separately. The panel can be used to create a quilt, curtain, cushion cover, runner or wall hanging.
The patterns are printed on a high quality, 100% cotton fabric. The fabric is of a medium weight.
Please refer to the last photo for the most accurate representation of the color. Crayola brand crayons were placed in the photo for a color comparison.
Do NOT iron the fabric prior to removing the pre-printed pattern or the pattern may not wash out completely.
To remove markings:
Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
Iron while still moist on low temperature. Place sashiko cloth face down onto folded bath towel, prior to ironing, to prevent the stitching from being flattened.
