Silver square pendant necklace with blue and pink colored swallow bird kimono fabric
This pendant necklace was created using a vintage kimono fabric. The silk, which features blue and pink colored swallows, was placed inside a pendant bezel and carefully coated with epoxy resin. The epoxy resin will preserve the beautiful fabric and keep it from being exposed to moisture.
The pendant hangs on an 18 inch, silver plated chain.
The pendant is created with cast pewter that is plated with .999 fine silver. The chain and chain findings are created with brass that is plated with .999 fine silver. The silver is carefully oxidized to give it an antique appearance. All parts of the necklace and pendant are lead and nickel free and were made in the U.S.A.
Pendant Dimensions:
26.1 mm x 18.6 mm outside measurement. This includes the top loop.
The inside of the pendant's bezel measures: 15.7 mm x 15.7 mm square
Chain Dimensions:
Chain is about 18 inches (45.7 mm) in length.
Each link in the chain is 2.5 mm x 2 mm in size.
The chain closes via a 11.9 mm long lobster clasp that is attached using a 21 gauge, 4.5 mm diameter jump ring.

Epoxy care: Please store pendant away from sunlight and do not expose to extreme temperatures. If the pendant is exposed to high temperatures (for example: hot car on sunny day) the epoxy may become tacky. This tackiness should resolve itself after the pendant is allowed to cool. Please remove necklace before bathing or swimming. Epoxy surface can be shined and cleaned using a soft cloth and plastic polish (Novus plastic polish is very good) If the surface of the resin becomes soiled, it can be gently washed using a mild dish soap and warm water.
To prevent tarnishing of silver please remove the necklace before bathing or swimming. Store away from moisture.
